Outreach

The Suffolk Public Library is committed to providing library services throughout the community, not just in our buildings. Look for us around Suffolk or fill out our form to request a library visit to your organization or community group.

Services We Offer

Library2Go

Library2Go has high interest materials for all ages and reading levels. In addition to books, Library2Go provides access to technology with iPads, gaming equipment, and cutting edge demonstrations. Bring your own devices to Library2Go stops and connect to free Wi-Fi. Visit Library2Go stops around the community to check out books, learn something new, and meet your neighbors.

Pop-Up Library

We will bring the library to you! Pop-Up Libraries are temporary libraries that can be set up within a 10 foot by 10 foot tent or even just at a table in locations where people meet such as at local businesses, PTA meetings, and community events.
In our Pop-Up Library locations we can offer:
  • Book check-outs
  • Digital services demonstrations and training
  • Library card registration
  • Library program and service information
  • Programming (such as storytime) at some locations

In the Community

Suffolk Public Library offers recurring monthly or biweekly visits to retirement communities, Adult Care facilities, daycare facilities, and schools. Visits may include book check out, access to holds, library programming, and technology demonstrations based on the needs of the site.
